Our Company History

Founded in 2015 by Principal Lawyer, Ian McDermott, imac legal & compliance is dedicated to bridging the gap between theory and practice. We bring senior legal and compliance experience, both as internal and external advisers. As compliance managers and consultants, our services are strengthened by our substantial legal advisory experience. As legal advisers, our technical skills are bolstered with senior, practical compliance experience.

We combine our breadth of experience with informed, practical advice and solutions. Solutions that not only are technically sound but also anticipate and mitigate problems and risks before they happen. Our colleagues and clients tell us that it is the practical insights and foresight that make our counsel and services so valuable. We call this Phronesis. Or, to translate from Ancient Greek, practical intelligence and wisdom.
